Support and Volunteers
Volunteer Your Time
There are many services and activities that St. Margaret Mary’s provides to the parishioners and the Midland Beach community.
It is through your involvement that allows us to continue this support.
We are not looking for hours upon hours or even a full-time commitment. Any time you can volunteer will be welcomed.
Here is a sampling:
Lecturers, Eucharistic Ministers and Ushers
If you attend a daily Mass or a particular Sunday Mass, we are always looking for volunteers to read the Readings,
assist Father with Communion and help with ushering duties. None of these are time consuming and require little training.
The Altar Society are those wonderful volunteers that keep our Church neat, clean and attractive.
They currently meet in the Church on Saturday after the 9:00am Mass,. If that isn’t a convenient time, we are flexible.
Again, not a very time intense commitment.
Please contact us by telephone at (718) 351-2612 or by email (you can use the Contact Us form).
We would also appreciate your completing the Volunteer Application and forwarding it to the Rectory.

Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (aka: Eucharistic Minister)
If you are interested in becoming a Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, to bring communion to our homebound parishioners

Legion of Mary
Members of the parish have established a Legion of Mary praesidium. The Legion sees as its priority the spiritual and
social welfare of each individual. The members participate in the life of the parish through visitation of families, the sick,
both in their homes and in hospitals and through collaboration in every apostolic and missionary undertaking sponsored
by the parish.

2015 Cardinal's Stewardship Appeal
Our Goal has been reached - with some help!
We thank our parishioners for your support of the 2015 Cardinal’s Stewardship Appeal.
As of April 17, 2015 our parish has received 35 pledges, totaling $11,320.00.
This includes $5,000.00 from the Korean Catholic Apostolate of Staten Island. With the Korean Catholic Apostolate
donation, we have officially met our goal of $11,000.
Without their donation, we have received 34 pledges totaling $6,320.00.
Last year 63 parishioners pledged $12,292, surpassing our $11,000 goal.
Please show your support for the Cardinal’s Stewardship Appeal by making your pledge today.
Your commitment will help us reach this year’s goal of $11,000.
Thank you very much for your continuing generosity and God bless you!
Faith Formation Committee
To keep our church and faith strong and create an environment of growth, we need your help!
It is now time for all of us to stand up and support our church and religion. We have three major goals:
(1) We need to have a home for practicing Catholics to hear, feel and live the spirit of Jesus.
(2) We need to extend ourselves to have our non-practicing Catholic family members, friends and neighbors
return to the Word of God.
(3) We need to spread the Words of Jesus to our non-Catholic friends and neighbors and warmly invite them into our family.
This is not a fund drive. We aren’t asking for any money. What we are requesting is your input and time.
If you can participate, please click here for additional information.
You can participate in the monthly 50/50 Drawing by depositing your 50/50 Envelope with $5.00 in the
Collection Basket anytime during the month. If you don’t have a Church envelope, write “50/50”,
your name and telephone number on the front of a blank envelope and include $5.00.
The drawing is held the last week of the month.
