Sacred Triduum
Also called Easter Triduum and Paschal Triduum. What, really, do the liturgies of the triduum celebrate?
Holy Thursday commemorates the day Jesus instituted the Eucharist;
Good Friday commemorates the day he was executed on the cross;
Easter Vigil commemorates his emergence from the tomb.
We may assume that they are dramatic reenactments of events that happened during Jesus' last days and culminated in his victory over death..
But more than reenactments, the Paschal Triduum actually celebrates a mystery, not what once happened to Jesus but what is now happening
among us as a people called to conversion, gathered in faith and gifted with spirit of holiness.
Many parishioners celebrated the Triduum with us!

Palm Sunday solemn blessing and procession.
Despite the chilly air, our outdoors solemn blessing of palms was very well attended. The procession from the OAC to the church gave those
who participated a beautiful chance not only to reenact the Gospel account of the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem when the people waving palm
branches shouted "Hosanna to the Son of David" but to look at the neighborhood of our church that is already beginning to show signs of spring,
especially in the early blossoms of the flowering trees.
