Holy Week; Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday - April 1st - 8th, 2012
Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday
May I thank all of you who came to our Paschal Triduum services of Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday.
Special thanks to the "12 apostles" who participated in the "washing of the feet" ceremony, the adorers who signed up for the Holy Thursday vigil and
to those who joined the outdoors Stations of the Cross on Good Friday afternoon and the indoors Stations in the evening vigil.
I am very grateful to Deacon Pat Graham, to our church ministers like the lectors, Eucharistic ministers, ushers music ministers, altar servers as well as
to a host of volunteers like the altar society who did a wonderful job decorating the church for Palm Sunday, for the Holy Thursday Adoration of the
Blessed Sacrament, and for Easter.

I would also like to thank our children "for giving up something" for the crucified Lord represented by the paper crosses that they brought up to the altar
during the 40 days of Lent. Jesus knows and appreciates the "little sacrifice" that you did - something you usually enjoy doing or eating but you gave up
to show your love for Him. Jesus loves you, and will continue to bless you!
Thank You to Deacon Pat for donating the paschal candle that we used during the Easter Vigil service. The same paschal candle will be used throughout
the year during baptisms and will be displayed during the Masses of the Easter season.
Father Erno Diaz
Good Friday (4/6) - Outdoors Stations of the Cross
Fr. Diaz, Deacon Graham and parishioners lead in reading the reflections during the Stations of the Cross, that went around the block of: Lincoln Avenue - Freeborn Street -
Greeley Avenue - Olympia Street. The Stations were held prior to the Celebration of the Lord's Passion in the church. Like last year, framed Stations were carried
around, by to enhance our reflection as we follow Jesus' way of the cross.
Holy Saturday Night (4/7)
The Korean Catholic community led by Father Sung joined us for our Easter Vigil at 8 pm. To make it a little more meaningful for them, one of the readings was read
in the Korean language and followed by the responsorial psalm, sung also in Korean. The English text of the reading and the responsorial psalm were found in the missalette
